DINING CAR COMMISSARY

We have three Santa Fe passenger trains with dining cars and now a place to clean and restock them. This structure came up on ebay and lucky for me no one was bidding on it. I don't know any facts about about who made it or was it a kit? The building has a second story platform that would indicate a work area for roof repair on rolling stock. I would judge that it's about 10% over HO scale but I'll use it anyway. Several months have gone by and now it's in place with tracks for a couple diners and a caboose. The large openings in the roof and walls need to be filled in panels, windows and skylights. This facility gives me an activity area as well as storage for these extra cars. This building can also be forced into action by switching out inoperative cabooses and dining cars by "train Order" situations we just talked about.

The landscape received a 20 minute scenery application of whatever materials would be fitting for an industrial site. This is the West end of our Ash Fork hump yard with all the track work finished and now waiting for some more scenery.
