This is my mothers father who died in 1932 in Calumet Michigan. The painting is a collage of his business and spiritual life as he was involved in many things. He operated a large farming enterprise with several employees, this supported his wholesale and retail business in Calumet. He was a major stock holder in one or more Finish News Papers, partner in a logging company, and was on the board of a bank and on the board of the church he attended. By luck, I found this ready to use canvas that fit this recess in the wall at an art supply store in Prescott. |
